Business Licenses

Any person or company planning to do business within the incorporated areas of the Town of Buckeye is required to obtain a Town of Buckeye business license. Business licenses are one way which the Town of Buckeye helps to ensure that persons or companies doing business in Buckeye are reputable.

Business License Applications and Forms can be found to the left. These offer a good idea of what businesses the Town has specific regulations for, but if you do not see something that applies to your interest or inquiry, please feel free to call, 623-349-6165.

As of September 15th, the Buckeye Town Council adopted a revised Chapter of the Town Code specific to Business Regulations.  Please note that there will be changes to the existing procedures.  Please review the information on your specific business type to determine how or if these changes will affect your business.

Procedure
 
  1. Obtain business license application from the Town of Buckeye, which can be found on the following link Business License Application or from the Town Hall (Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) Our website has all the applications available to download, and can be used as a very helpful tool to determine what requirements your business will need to meet.  You may also obtain an application by calling or writing the Town of Buckeye.
  2. Submit completed business license application with payment of license fee and required documents. Your application can be submitted in person or by mail. Payment can be made by check, cash or credit card. Fee Schedule
  3. Application is approved or rejected. If your application for a business license is rejected, you may arrange an interview with a staff person to discuss why your application was rejected and what steps you may take to obtain approval.  Required documents and fees must be submitted for application to be considered. 
  4. Business license is issued. Congratulations and Welcome to the Business community of Buckeye!
  5. Obtain all other necessary permits and licenses. There may be other licenses or permits required by the Town of Buckeye (such as a Building Permit, or a use permit) or other governmental agencies such as the Arizona Department of Revenue (Transaction Privilege Tax License) or the Register of Contractors (Contractor's License).

The Town of Buckeye business license application and approval process may take five to ten business days. Others may take longer, depending on the amount of research required to investigate the background of the person or company wishing to do business in Buckeye.
